Job Overview: The desktop publisher will use publishing software to create various documents and products, including newsletters and reports that will be submitted to Congress. This individual will format and combine text, numerical data, photographs, illustrations, charts, and other visual elements.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Program Managers, Project Coordinators, and other government officials to submit formatted newsletters throughout the government
Utilizes templates tailored to government requirements
Assists in presentencing newsletter documents to government officials
Supports document creation to assist with proposal development, reviews, and delivery
Reads and interprets government document requirements to ensure compliance with font, type size, margins, and other proposal submission requirements
Works with coordinator to facilitate hardcopy and electronic delivery
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience
Able to create and format visually appealing Microsoft Word templates and Excel documents in compliance with government requirements
Good verbal and written communication skills
Expert in Microsoft Word.
Skilled in formatting Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint documents
Recommended:
Skilled in Adobe Acrobat Pro for creating PDFs, and comparing and merging files preferred
