Job Overview:
We are looking for a positive and collaborative individual to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist! In this role, you will be responsible for providing HR expertise on everything from employee relations to benefits administration. This is a great position for a self-motivated, creative problem-solver who wants to be part of a dynamic, mission-driven company. This position will report to the Director of Operations and work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between company and PEO, including employment law changes and implementation of organizational changes required from law changes.
  • Regularly review and update employee handbook and company policies as required.
  • Manage HR onboarding/offboarding processes for all new hires & separations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, ensuring the integrity of employee data.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and provide an excellent employee experience. 
  • Collaborate to help implement effective company-wide people processes and improve those already in place, including activities that support employee engagement and company culture.
  • Support the team during Performance and Compensation cycles.
  • Assist and support Recruiting functions by setting up meetings, coordinating feedback forms, and other similar activities.
  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance.
  • Maintain internal department process documentation.
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure each item is completed satisfactorily.
  • Collaborate to identify organizational and HR department needs in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, showing increased responsibility over time.
  • 1+ years working for a small, fast-growing, firm OR 1+ years experience working for an IT Professional Services / Consulting firm.
  • 3+ years working with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; must be able to demonstrate proficiency.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to coach and advise both managers and employees in alignment with company goals and values.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with a curious mind and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to give and receive open, constructive feedback in a way that cultivates trust and respect.
  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to handle private and personal information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Preferred:
  • Experience administering HR policies across multiple states.
