Job Title: Manager, Human Resources
Job Type: W2 Salary (full-time)
Job Location: Remote but must reside in the U.S. and have current work eligibility
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 (DOE) plus bonus target plus benefits (medical/dental/vision, life, 401k)

Job Overview:

Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Operations, the HR Manager will initially create, implement, and manage human resource initiatives, strategies, programs and procedures. They will enhance department functions by planning, implementing, and developing training, administering of employee benefits, maintaining employee handbook and HR procedures manual, and answering employee questions regarding pay, benefits, policies, and procedures.  This role is anticipated to move into a managerial role with twelve (12) months, overseeing the HR and Recruiting functions within the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full cycle employment life cycle for employees and contractors from written job offer to separation
  • Maintain employee and contractor personnel files
  • Develop and maintain employee training, including new employee orientation and certifications
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, including employee handbook, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and company strategy/vision
  • Develop and assist with implementation of complete compensation strategy including: recommended salaries, SARS, profit sharing targets, bonus plans and bonus calculations
  • Develop and implement resource management program
  • Will include development of performance management policy/procedure
  • Work with managers on goal setting and regular reviews
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers, and executive team in case of disciplinary issues
  • Partner with PEO to administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance
  • Remain up-to-date on all pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations concerning employee discrimination, wage administration, equal opportunity, and other compliance issues
  • Collaborate with management team on various initiatives that impact employees
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of dedicated Human Resources experience, including at least one (1) year managing/overseeing Human Resources department
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience working with a small organization (preferably under 50 employees)
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience working with a Professional Services firm (preferably technology related)
  • Experience with HR in multiple states - CA, WA, DC, VA, MD, FL, GA, TX, PA, OH preferred
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Proven ability to understand, interpret, develop, and communicate company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and employees
  • Demonstrated collaboration with upper level management to enhance employee experience
  • Proven ability to maintain strict ethics, legal adherence, and confidentiality at all times
  • Proven ability to be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Skilled in prioritizing workload, multi-tasking, and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Recommended:
  • PHR Certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience with the Information Technology industry
  • Experience managing a team/department of 1 - 5 employees
