Job Overview:
Under the guidance and direction of the Operations Manager, the HR Generalist will help create, implement, and manage human resource initiatives, strategies, programs and procedures. They will enhance department functions by planning, implementing, and developing training, administering of employee benefits, maintaining employee handbook and HR procedures manual, and answering employee questions regarding pay, benefits, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full cycle employment life cycle for employees and contractors from written job offer to termination and exit interviews
  • Maintain employee and contractor personnel files
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, including employee handbook, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and strategy
  • Develop, implement, and maintain employee performance review process
  • Coordinate and track annual employee training for HR/Company compliance
  • Manage vacation, sick and PTO policies, accruals, and requests
  • Partner with PEO to administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance
  • Develop and maintain a compensation strategy; work with management to further develop a corporate guideline on salary adjustments, bonuses, and promotions
  • Work with managers on goal setting and annual performance reviews
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers, and executive team in case of disciplinary issues
  • Remain up-to-date on all pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations concerning employee discrimination, wage administration, equal opportunity, and other compliance issues and ensure Company
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience working with a small organization (preferably under 50 employees)
  • Ability to understand, interpret, develop, and communicate company policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of benefits packages
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and employees
  • Ability to maintain strict ethics, legal adherence, and confidentiality at all times
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • Skilled in prioritizing workload, multi-tasking, and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Recommended:
  • PHR Certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience with the Information Technology industry
